Eduvos is looking to employ the services of an Academic Administration Manager at our Vanderbijlpark campus on a full-time basis

Purpose of the position

  • To ensure academic administration implementation and compliance at a campus, ensuring alignment with the institutes policies and procedures.

Minimum qualification

  • Relevant undergraduate degree

Experience

  • Three to five years academic / student administrative experience in the higher education environment with two years’ managerial experience or demonstrated management potential

Duties and Responsibilities

As the Academic Administrator Manager, you will primarily be responsible for:

Accountability areas - operating / financial results accountable for (delegated work):

  • Enrolment: Academic Exclusion · Edge-Case Academic Planner
  • Student records: · Document management on academic/enrolment/finance system(s) · Assessment on relevant platforms · Electronic record up to date on system
  • Student / Academic query handling and resolution
  • Assessment administration, moderation and remarking process
  • Graduate identification and processing

Operational process outputs (doing the operational work)

  • Develop and implement plans to ensure delivery of accountable areas Risk identification, monitoring and mitigation of accountable areas
  • Reporting · Consolidation of invigilators report · Quarterly academic reports with improvement plans for accountable areas including trend analysis block on block and year on year) · Reports generated on internal quality metrics, providing evidence of improvement (e.g. late marks, graduation application issues) · Relevant sources of data (e.g. gradebook results, trackers, system data, mark delivery, analytics etc) collected and evaluated, to inform reporting
  • Development and implement invigilation schedule and student seating list per venue · Liaise with relevant parties to ensure correct allocation of venues for on-campus assessments · Contribute to the assessment schedule to ensure no students are disadvantaged
  • Process assessment related queries
  • Timetables · Serve as a super-user for the timetable system on campus · Resolve campus timetable queries · Train campus users on timetable system

  • Management
  • Training and governance (compliance) · Internal staff developed to guide on how to adopt improved quality enhancement processes · Internal training and upskilling on the above, to ensure sustainability and scaling of quality enhancement mechanisms
