SUMMARY
A rapidly growing telecommunications company is looking for an experienced Senior NOC Engineer to join their high-performing technical operations team!
POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level technical support to field operations teams on escalated network and connectivity issues
- Oversee and manage critical network incidents, outages, and service restoration processes
- Continuously monitor network performance and proactively identify faults, congestion, and service degradation
- Investigate recurring sector and client connectivity issues using monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Support and troubleshoot advanced network services including VPN, VoIP, and cloud-related environments
- Manage network capacity planning and assist with client migrations to optimize performance
- Configure and maintain routing, VLAN, MPLS, and IP addressing environments
- Handle complex escalations from Tier 3 teams, customer experience departments, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with infrastructure, RF, and field engineering teams to ensure network stability
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, network changes, documentation, and implementation projects
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the NOC environment
- Ensure adherence to network security standards and operational procedures
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- 3–4 years’ experience within a NOC or ISP networking environment
- Relevant networking certification required
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols, and wireless network infrastructure
- Experience working with wireless technologies and vendors such as Ubiquiti or Cambium
- Good understanding of access networks, core networking, and network topology design
- Ability to analyse network behaviour, diagnose faults, and manage escalations effectively
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining large-scale network environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- CCNP-level networking knowledge will be highly advantageous
- Must be comfortable working rotational onsite shifts
