CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide effective administrative support in all areas of responsibilities of the Director: George Campus Operations

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • General office management and -administration
  • Meeting officer functions
  • Electronic communication
  • Manage diaries
  • Administrative support in matters related to Catering, Cleaning, Horticulture, Protection Services, Maintenance-, Disaster-, Primate- and Shuttle Management
  • Coordinate annual budgets spending and finance web claims
  • Monitoring effective service delivery
  • Event planning and catering

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Be flexible and innovative
  • Good computer skills including a thorough knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Good verbal-, written-, communication- and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and be completely trustworthy
  • Ability to pay attention to accuracy and detail
  • Fluency in at least two official languages
  • Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to manage time
  • Ability to prioritize importance of tasks
  • Knowledge of a financial system (Finance Web)
  • Ability to organize work in a systematic and structured manner
  • Good facilitation, training and presentation skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Secretarial or administrative tertiary qualification
  • 2-5 years’ experience relevant to competencies required
  • Driver’s license

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal qualities: Sound understanding of the latest trends in the field of professional support in a learning and teaching environment.
