SUMMARY
Area Sales Executive
POSITION INFO
The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling new business appointments, conducting cold calls, and generating new sales opportunities to acquire and grow the customer base. Duties will include achieving individual sales targets, promoting and selling the company’s full supply chain solutions including Domestic Courier, Express, and Freight services, and identifying customer needs to develop tailored business opportunities. The role also requires maintaining and updating Sales Force reports daily and weekly, as well as preparing and presenting professional proposals and presentations to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate new business appointments
- Conduct cold calling and proactive client outreach
- Achieve individual sales targets in line with salary expectations
- Generate new sales leads and acquire new customers
- Promote and sell the company’s full supply chain solutions, including Domestic Courier, Express, and Freight services
- Identify customer needs, develop business opportunities, and expand the customer base
- Maintain and update Sales Force reports on a daily and weekly basis
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations to clients
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum requirement is a Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar qualification and/or relevant experience advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven corporate sales experience (5 years for senior-level positions)
- Previous experience working for reputable corporate companies is essential
- Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets
- Industry experience advantageous, with a strong understanding of full supply chain solutions, including Freight, International, and Warehousing products
- Experience presenting and negotiating business solutions at senior management level
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
