Location: Gqeberha, Eastern Cape
Are you an experienced security professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale security operations? We are seeking a Security Site Manager to lead and oversee security services across a large multi-campus environment, ensuring the safety and security of approximately 7,000 students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the relationship between the client and security service provider.
- Ensure all contractual security obligations and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Lead and manage a large security team including supervisors, CCTV controllers, and security officers.
- Oversee daily security operations across multiple campus locations.
- Monitor and manage CCTV, access control, and other security systems.
- Evaluate security service delivery and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage security requirements for events and high-risk activities.
- Investigate incidents and ensure accurate reporting and corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operational and incident reports.
- Manage staff performance, discipline, attendance, and HR-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and quality standards.
- Liaise regularly with client representatives, operational management, and regional management teams.
- Maintain accurate administration and documentation relating to security operations.
- Drive a culture of professionalism, accountability, and customer service excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- PSIRA Grade A registration.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Security Management Diploma advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years' experience within the security industry.
- Previous university, college, or campus security experience highly advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior operational security management role.
- Extensive people management and leadership experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent planning, administration, communication, and client liaison abilities.
- Clear criminal record and no pending criminal cases.
- Must reside in Gqeberha.
