SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a hands-on and commercially minded Distribution and Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of their Johannesburg operation (ecommerce). This role is suited to an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage the DC as if it were their own business, ensuring high service levels, operational efficiency and strong inventory control.

POSITION INFO

The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented operations professional with strong leadership ability, a sense of ownership and the ability to work independently while driving results. Experience within warehousing, distribution and supply chain operations is essential.

Duties

• Manage daily distribution centre operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure efficient storage and stock handling practices.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
• Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances.
• Monitor operational KPIs and service levels.
• Resolve fulfilment issues proactively.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers.
• Resolve delivery issues and courier-related problems.
• Team leadership.
• Facility management.
• Admin and reporting.

Requirements

• Matric.
• Valid driver's license.
• Computer literate (Shopify experience is highly advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role handling e-commerce warehousing (B2C).
• Experience handling cold chain logistics highly advantageous.
