Handyman (Painter)

ROLE PURPOSE

The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces including walls, woodwork, and furniture. The painter will also be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching any imperfections.

MAIN OUTPUTS

Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to surfaces according to project requirements
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching imperfections
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply paint
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with paints and chemicals
Communicate with clients to understand their painting needs and preferences

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (Technical Matric advantageous)
Proven experience as a painter
Certification in painting or related field
Knowledge of various painting techniques
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physical stamina to work long hours and lift heavy objects
Valid driver's license
