POSITION INFO
This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payments.
This role is based in Bruma, Johannesburg East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture invoices accurately and allocate payments and expenses to the correct GL accounts
- Process incoming purchase order requests
- Print proof of payments and match open items in the ordering system
- Handle supplier queries professionally and efficiently
- Perform reconciliations to creditors’ statements
- Prepare creditors for payment timeously
- Maintain an accurate and current age analysis
- Ensure orders are kept up to date
- Validate sign-off on invoices prior to payments
- Verify correct cost centres are used when processing transactions
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual supplier filing systems
- Ensure vendor documentation and applications remain relevant and updated
- Liaise with branch managers nationally regarding authorisations
- Handle intercompany creditor accounts
- Process commission and preferred partnership payments
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Creditors Clerk or similar role
- Sound knowledge of supplier account management and creditor controls
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills essential
- Sage X3 and Masterpiece experience advantageous
- Strong computer literacy
