A rapidly growing fintech business is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants exposure to a dynamic business operating across multiple financial products and markets.

POSITION INFO

This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, treasury support, tax compliance, operational finance, and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to grow within the fintech space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end reporting processes, including journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and management reports
• Support treasury and cash management functions, including bank and payment reconciliations
• Manage expense allocations and assist with cost tracking across various business areas
• Assist with payment processing, intercompany accounting, and loan reconciliations
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and statutory submissions
• Contribute to process enhancements, controls, and finance-related projects within the business

Education:

• BCom Accounting or related qualification

Experience:

• 4+ years’ accounting experience
• Strong exposure to month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Experience within fintech, financial services, payments, or multi-currency environments advantageous
• Exposure to tax compliance and audit support

Skills:

• Strong Excel capabilities
• Experience on Xero or similar ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement ability
