SUMMARY
A prominent, flagship property portfolio is looking to appoint a Senior Financial Manager to lead financial direction and optimise performance. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity offering exposure to major developments, asset strategy, and a diverse, highâvalue property base. POSITION INFO
- Take ownership of financial oversight and reporting across an extensive property portfolio, ensuring precision and deadlines are consistently met
- Work in partnership with the Asset Management team on investment appraisals, acquisitions, and divestments
- Compile and manage budgets and forecasts for largeâscale developments and operational assets
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models covering revenue streams, cost assumptions, and return metrics
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis on variables such as occupancy rates, escalations, and funding structures
- Manage loan covenant reporting and submissions to financiers
- Direct the receivables function, including invoicing, collections, and credit management
- Liaise with tenants and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and enhance cash collection performance
- Oversee audit processes and ensure adherence to statutory and compliance standards
- Champion technological and process enhancements to improve reporting and efficiency within finance
- Analyse and interpret portfolio performance across sectors, including mixedâuse and hospitality assets
- Engage with senior leadership, investors, and operational teams to support decisionâmaking
Skills & Experience
- 7–10+ years’ experience within a property finance environment
- Demonstrated exposure to sizeable portfolios across retail, commercial, or residential sectors
- Strong experience managing receivables, billing cycles, and credit control functions
- Advanced capability in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Familiarity with property management systems, with MDA considered highly beneficial
- Strong commercial acumen combined with analytical and problemâsolving skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fastâmoving, highâvolume setting
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Qualification
BCom in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CA(SA) designation advantageous
