Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Location: Centurion

Remuneration: R12 000 - R16 500

Our client, a promotional products supplier, is looking to employ a Warehouse Assistant to join their team in Centurion.

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving and processing goods, fulfilling orders, managing inventory, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment, and contributing to quality control processes.

Required qualification and working knowledge

  • Previous warehouse or supply chain management experience.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Valid South African ID
  • Valid Driver's License

Duties & Responsibilities

Receiving and Processing Goods

  • Receive incoming goods, verify quantities and condition, and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Unload and sort incoming shipments.
  • Inspect goods for any damage and report any discrepancies.

Order Fulfillment

  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate order picking and packing to minimise errors.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or other relevant software.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks as required.
  • Assist with inventory adjustments and reconciliations.

Warehouse Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, including sweeping, mopping, and organising shelves and work areas.
  • Assist with the upkeep of warehouse equipment and machinery.

Quality Control

  • In conjunction with the Admin assistant, oversee finishing related projects, including packing and finishing instructions, finishing team briefs (written and verbal), team management related to specific finishing projects, operational support and quality control.
  • Conduct quality control checks for all stock deliveries and ensure compliance with order details. Ensure record keeping of QC incidents.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics and Operations Manager.
