The Role

A Group Financial Manager is sought to oversee operational finance leadership, ensuring alignment and coordination and focusing on performance management, budgeting, financial controls, and execution, enabling the Group to meet its commercial and growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, and strong financial governance.
  • Support strategic decision-making through robust financial insights strategy in alignment with long-term growth ambitions.
  • Consolidate financial reporting and performance insights.
  • Oversee group-level cash management and investment strategy coordination.
  • Work alongside the Business Manager of the Property Division to provide financial oversight.
  • Provide financial leadership and oversight for the Group’s international business expansion.
  • Lead group reporting, annual budgets, and long-term forecasts.
  • Lead and mentor the Group’s finance managers and accountants.
  • Oversee HR-related financial compliance, including payroll and benefits structures.
  • Share certain responsibilities with CEO.

Skills and Experience

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong operational finance experience.
  • Honours Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Proven track record as a senior financial manager in a diversified or investment-led organisation.
  • Strong expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, tax structuring, and governance.
  • Demonstrated success in driving financial transformation, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Experience in group consolidation, multi-jurisdictional reporting, and family office structures advantageous.
  • Skilled in implementing financial systems and digital tools to enable scale.

  • Strong communicator, able to influence at Board, investor, and regulator level.

Other

  • Based in Knysna
  • Travel required to Durban and Cape Town to support key business units.
