With an excellent track record of delivery to UK law firms from South Africa, their legal professionals manage full Conveyancing, Estate Planning, Deceased Estates, Dispute Resolution, Trust Management and Personal Injury matters for their clients. Their Legal Client Services team supports client matters and converts and onboards new clients.

Job Summary

We are looking for a conveyancing specialist to join a high-performing Scottish residential conveyancing team. You will provide administrative legal support to the conveyancers at our client in Scotland. You will combine your technical conveyancing skills to deliver a high-quality client experience and exceptional value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all post-settlement steps on Scottish residential conveyancing transactions.
  • Handle post-settlement correspondence and enquiries.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Ensure compliance with our client’s risk policies, flag and escalate risks promptly.
  • Proactively communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of legal and technical developments in the Scottish conveyancing space.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
  • Experienced conveyancing paralegal

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years’ residential conveyancing experience.
  • Conveyancing experience in Scottish law an advantage.
  • Work UK hours and take UK Bank holidays.
  • Ability to work from home if required (min 20 meg fibre line).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Own transport.

Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of residential conveyancing in South Africa and/or the United Kingdom.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organised team player.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Tech savvy with excellent AI and Microsoft Office skills.
