POSITION INFO

A respected distributor of electronic components and embedded solutions is looking for a driven

Field Sales Engineer to grow its footprint across the Western Cape.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the electronics industry and enjoys building long-term relationships with OEMs, design engineers, and electronics manufacturers.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in external sales within the electronics industry
• Good understanding of electronic components, semiconductors, and passive components
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory

Job Experience & Skills Required

• Develop new business within the electronics manufacturing and OEM market
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Conduct client visits, presentations, and technical sales discussions
• Prepare quotations and manage follow-ups
• Work closely with suppliers and internal technical teams to deliver solutions
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies

Exposure to industrial electronics, RF communications, IoT, embedded systems, or consumer electronics will be highly advantageous.
