POSITION INFO
A leading provider of electronic test, measurement, and industrial technology solutions is looking for a driven
Business Development Engineer to grow business across the Western and Eastern Cape.
This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys opening doors, developing new business, and working with clients across sectors such as renewable energy, solar, electrical infrastructure, data centres, FMCG, and industrial manufacturing.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development
- Strong ability to develop new business and build long-term client relationships
- Exposure to industrial, electrical, automation, renewable energy, or related sectors
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across the region
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Western and Eastern Cape
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients
- Promote technical solutions into renewable energy, solar, electrical, data centre, FMCG, and industrial markets
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and solution-based sales discussions
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial submissions
- Work closely with suppliers and technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field will be highly advantageous.
