Our client - a leading manufacturing business -is seeking an experienced

Management Accountant to join its team in Pietermaritzburg. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operations, driving profitability, and providing meaningful financial insights that support business performance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, budgeting, financial analysis, and performance reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Cost & Management Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Commercial Finance, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with:
• Product costing and cost accounting
• Material cost analysis
• Variance analysis
• Margin and profitability analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Financial reporting and performance analysis
• Cost optimisation initiatives
• SAP experience is essential and non-negotiable.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence business decisions through financial insight.
