SUMMARY

Our client is a dynamic consulting engineering firm specializing in building services design across commercial, residential, healthcare, educational, industrial, and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Electrical Design Draughtsman to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality engineering projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong draughtsman to work on diverse projects while collaborating with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary design teams.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical engineering drawings and layouts for building services projects.
• Prepare lighting, power, small power, earthing, lightning protection, and reticulation drawings.
• Generate single-line diagrams, schematics, and installation details.
• Assist engineers with design development and project documentation.
• Revise and update drawings in accordance with project requirements and client specifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Coordinate designs with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate drawing registers and document control procedures.
• Participate in site visits and project meetings where required.

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma, Certificate, or relevant qualification in Draughting, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical building services drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience with Revit MEP/BIM modelling will be advantageous.
• Sound understanding of electrical building services installations and drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
