Litigation Attorney (3+ Years PQE) – Johannesburg

Our client, a well-established and fast-paced litigation practice based in Johannesburg, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their growing team.

POSITION INFO

Minimum requirements

• Independently manage High Court and Magistrates’ Court litigation matters end-to-end
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, applications, notices, and legal correspondence
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and litigation strategies
• Attend court appearances and manage all procedural steps in matters
• Consult with clients and provide regular updates on matter progress
• Manage debt collection and selective family law matters
• Liaise with counsel, court officials, and third parties as required
• Maintain full responsibility for file management, deadlines, compliance, and billing readiness

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum 3 years PQE in litigation
• Strong experience in High Court and Magistrates’ Court litigation
• Solid drafting, research, and case management skills
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of matters
• Strong work ethic with a focus on accountability and delivery
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office
• Own transport and valid driver’s licence required
