SUMMARY

Our client in the network mobile sector is looking for a Project Manager – Platform Engineering on a contract duration of 12 months.

Role Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of platform engineering initiatives, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms aligned to Africa strategic objectives

POSITION INFO

Job Accountabilities

Programme & Delivery Management

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and milestones
• Drive delivery across cloud, infrastructure, and security initiatives
• Manage cross-team dependencies and delivery risks

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Act as primary delivery interface to stakeholders
• Facilitate governance forums and reporting
• Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards

Financial & Commercial Management

• Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets
• Track financial performance and support cost optimisation

Risk & Issue Management

• Maintain RAID logs
• Manage Escalations and risk mitigation

Reporting & Delivery Assurance

• Produce executive reports
• Track KPIs and delivery performance

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Delivery Timeliness, Budget Adherence, Risk Mitigation, Stakeholder Satisfaction, Governance Compliance

Core Competencies

• Cloud platforms, Platform engineering, DevOps, Stakeholder management, Leadership

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in IT or Engineering, 8–12 years experience, PMP/Prince2/Agile certifications preferred
