LAN Network Administrator

We are recruiting for a LAN Network Administrator role.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Management
  • Install, configure, and maintain LAN hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, cabling).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Manage IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLAN configurations.
• Security & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry standards.
  • Regularly update and patch network devices to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• User Support
  • Provide technical support for end-users experiencing LAN-related issues.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train staff on best practices for network usage and security.
• Maintenance & Monitoring
  • Perform routine network health checks and capacity planning.
  • Monitor bandwidth usage and optimize network performance.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for network infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and LAN protocols.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Timely resolution of LAN-related incidents.
• Compliance with IT security standards.
