SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist (Sales Engineer) to represent a technically advanced engineering business within the mining, manufacturing, and industrial markets. The role is focused on developing longâterm, sustainable customer relationships and growing the organisation’s footprint through the sale of products, services, solutions, and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer & Market Development:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customers in mining, manufacturing, EPCs, and system integrators.
- Identify, research, and selectively pursue new customers of interest based on financial health, capital investment plans, and longâterm potential.
- Conduct structured market research and market intelligence gathering to identify opportunities aligned with the company’s offerings.
- Key Account Management:
- Build relationships across customer functions, including maintenance, engineering, planning, projects, procurement, and stores.
- Map decisionâmakers and influencers and understand both technical and commercial decision processes.
- Act as the primary technical and commercial interface between customers and internal teams.
- Sales & Opportunity Management:
- Promote and grow the full portfolio of products, services, engineered solutions, and projects.
- Support product sales by working closely with internal sales assistants, and providing technical input, specifications, and solutions guidance.
- Identify service and solution opportunities and share relevant intelligence with regional and business managers.
- Disciplined filtering of enquiries to focus on highâvalue, strategically aligned opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of industrial, manufacturing, and service-based engineering environments.
- Proven experience in technical or solutionâbased sales.
- Ability to engage confidently at an engineering and senior management level.
- Strong communication, analytical, and relationshipâbuilding skills.
- Structured, disciplined sales approach (not coldâcalling driven).
- Willingness to travel within the allocated region.
