SUMMARY
Stock Controller / Receiving Clerk
Location: Cape Town

An established hospitality business is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller / Receiving Clerk to join its operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate receiving, recording, storage, and control of stock while maintaining high standards of inventory management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all incoming stock and deliveries.
- Verify quantities, quality, and pricing against purchase orders and supplier invoices.
- Accurately capture stock movements and maintain inventory records.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Monitor stock variances, damages, and wastage, reporting discrepancies where necessary.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and adherence to storage procedures.
- Issue stock to operational departments in line with company procedures.
- Maintain clean, organised, and compliant receiving and storage areas.
- Work closely with management and operational teams to ensure stock availability and accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in stock control, receiving, or inventory management.
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, catering, or food-service experience will be advantageous.
- Experience working on MarketMan will be highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of stock receiving procedures, stock counts, stock rotation, invoice verification, stock issuing, and wastage control.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong administrative and computer literacy skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
