The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements and deliver associated quality, professional accounting outcomes. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of taxation, accounting, and admin procedures and will be an asset to the Accounting team. Candidates will be expected to maintain accounting duties for a number of higher end clients, as well as play a large role in the tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, companies, close corporations and trusts.

Roles and Responsibilities

Process and complete annual financial statements for final review and sign-off by the Partner, and prepare income tax returns

Review accounting, payroll and VAT tasks before final submission Team Work

Review and check less qualified and experienced team member’s work for final review by the Partner. This could include accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll tasks, to name a few.

Be involved with workflow scheduling and capacity planning

Work in a team and be willing and able to delegate work when asked to by your Manager.

Technical Requirements The successful applicant needs a high level of technical knowledge and an ability to apply it to finalise work for clients.

Preparing Individual Income Tax Returns both basic and complicated
