Job Purpose
We are seeking experienced IBM Mainframe Developers and Analysts to join our team. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL, PL/1, Assembler, and experience with system programming and database technologies like IMS and DB2. This is a critical role in supporting and modernizing our existing mainframe systems.
Roles and responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, PL/1, and Assembler.
- Analyze system requirements and design technical solutions for mainframe environments.
- Perform system programming tasks and troubleshoot issues within the mainframe infrastructure.
- Work with IMS and DB2 databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Utilize SAS for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain and enhance existing mainframe code and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Qualifications
- Atleast 5+ years of relevant work experience as IBM Mainframe developer or mainframe developer or mainframe analyst or in a similar role
- Atleast 5+ years of relevant work experience in IBM Mainframe development
- Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
- Experience with PL/1 and Assembler.
- Solid understanding of Mainframe System Programming (SysProg).
- Hands-on experience with IMS (Information Management System).
- Expertise in DB2 database management and development.
- Familiarity with SAS (Statistical Analysis System).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Technical Skills Required (Mandatory)
- Atleast 5+ years of relevant work experience in IBM Mainframe development
- Atleast 5+ years of relevant work experience in COBOL programming
- Good hands on experience in PL/1 and Assembler.
- Good hands on woirk experience in IMS (Information Management System), Mainframe System Programming (SysProg).
- Atleast 5+ years of relevant work experience in DB2 database management and development
- Good hands on woirk experience in SAS (Statistical Analysis System).
