Delivery of water engineering scope on multidisciplinary projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met
Engineering design includes but not limiting to the following:
Hydraulic designs including general water treatment components, pipelines and pump stations
Stormwater design including run-off, culvert, stormwater network
Tendering requirement such as BOQ quantification and pricing
Contractual and project execution according to international and WSP Global standards
Ensure all work complies with applicable local and international standards, regulations, and WSP quality management systems
Work across all business units to deliver water services to all sectors in South Africa, Africa and globally
Participate in innovation in treatment processes, sustainability, energy efficiency, and resource recovery
Stay current with emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry trends
Participate in executing water engineering & treatment technologies designs (e.g., biological treatment, membrane systems, advanced oxidation, sludge and brine handling) with integrated multidisciplinary teams to deliver turnkey solutions to clients
Mentor and coach junior members in relation to all elements of their development including professional registration

M. Eng Civil/Chemical engineering
Honors degree in Water Utilization will be an advantage
Professional Registered Engineer at Engineering Council of South Africa
10 years’ work experience in water engineering
10 years’ consulting experience
KEY COMPETENCIES
Advanced Water infrastructure and treatment Engineering skills and experience.
Skilled in managing high-value client accounts and developing long-term partnerships
Deep knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies
Ability to participate across multidisciplinary teams
GENERIC SKILLS
Demonstrated ability to handle a demanding and fast-paced consulting environment
A well-developed understanding of the competencies of the participating disciplines within WSP’s water and environmental group and associated operational networks
Project build-up and role-out
Well-developed communication and networking skills
Client relationships building and management.
Strong technical report writing skills, producing professional reports in fluent English.
