Administrator: Costing
Motus Daimler Trucks Rustenburg currently holds a vacancy for an Administrator: Costing reporting to the Manager: Service.
The Costing Clerk is responsible for providing an accurate costing and invoicing administrative service to the Dealership in accordance with DTSA standards and procedures. He/she will need to ensure that profits are maximized, and unnecessary expenditure is minimised in relation to costing and invoicing within the dealership.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Costing Service
- Ensure that job cards are accurate with regards to order number, account number, within credit limits and the vehicle details are correct.
- Allocate the correct labour codes / flat rates for relevant products.
- Ensure that all quantities and rates on the job card are correct.
- Ensure that all job cards have the correct costing and are invoiced accurately and on a timely basis and forwarded to the warranty department for submission where applicable.
- Ensure that the correct DTSA and group costing and warranty procedures are always followed.
Customer Service
- Ensure that requests for estimates and quotations are administered accurately and efficiently.
- Provide all internal and external clients and customers with efficient, accurate and effective service always.
- Liaise with manufacturers (in the case of OEMs) and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Develop trusting and professional relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Work extended hours when required to enhance levels of customer satisfaction.
Workshop Productivity
- Monitor and report on any backlogs in costing to Manager immediately
Administration
- Ensure that all administrative deadlines are met monthly.
- Ensure that all relevant documents are completed, authorised, signed and attached to job card.
- Ensure that all documents, processes and procedures comply with MBSA audit standards.
- File job cards and invoices daily.
- Ensure that all completed jobs are costed and invoiced according to agreed deadlines.
- Perform all duties and instructions in accordance with quality standards and always agreed deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of Grade 12.
- A great team player.
- Mercedes-Benz experience will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Kerridge will be an advantage.
- Service costing skills, knowledge and experience.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Costing position would be beneficial.
