Location: Camperdown and Underberg

A well-established and reputable company within the security industry is seeking a skilled and reliable Alarm Technician to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding of alarm and security systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission alarm systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of security systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on alarm systems and related equipment.
• Install and maintain CCTV, access control, electric fencing, and intercom systems where required.
• Perform site inspections and system testing to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to call-outs and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
• Complete service reports and related documentation accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar security installation role.
• Knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and related security equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• PSIRA registration (advantageous).
• Electrical or technical qualification (advantageous).
• Willingness to work overtime and attend emergency call-outs when required.
