SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Proposals Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive technical and commercial proposals for electrical engineering projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to work closely with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and clients.

POSITION INFO

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Proposals Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive technical and commercial proposals for electrical engineering projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to work closely with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for electrical projects.
• Develop cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and pricing schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and technical information.
• Ensure proposals comply with client specifications, industry standards, and company procedures.
• Conduct technical evaluations and risk assessments for tender submissions.
• Participate in site visits, clarification meetings, and client presentations when required.
• Support project handovers to execution teams following successful bid awards.
• Maintain proposal documentation, bid registers, and tender records.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience in proposals, tendering, estimating, or electrical project engineering.
• Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and distribution networks.
• Experience with tender compilation, cost estimation, and commercial evaluations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
