Company And Job Description

A well-established company based in the northern suburbs is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the finance shared services through effective debtor management, accurate invoicing, and proactive collections. This role is critical in maintaining healthy cash flow during a period of operational demand.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across various divisions, ensuring that customer accounts are managed efficiently and in line with company policies. This contract role offers immediate exposure to a high-performing finance team and the opportunity to add value from day one within a structured manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full management of the debtors’ book, including invoicing, allocations, collections, and age analysis
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve queries timeously in collaboration with internal departments
  • Process and maintain accurate transactions on Sage
  • Prepare monthly debtor reconciliations and reporting
  • Monitor credit limits and support credit control activities in line with company policies
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, procedures, and manufacturing finance processes

Job Experience And Skills Required

  • Diploma in Credit Management (non-negotiable)
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience using Sage Evolution (non-negotiable)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing-related billing, pricing structures, and customer accounts
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume transactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
