SUMMARY

A leading Consulting Engineering firm is seeking a professionally registered Structural Engineer (ECSA Pr. Eng) to join its Cape Town team.

The successful candidate will lead and manage structural engineering projects, oversee the design of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, and provide technical leadership and mentorship within a dynamic engineering environment.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Execute conceptual designs, contribute to feasibility studies, and develop optimised and value-engineered structural solutions.
• Provide technical and design leadership on a variety of structural engineering projects.
• Utilise advanced proficiency in Prokon, Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions.
• Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and load-bearing structures.
• Independently manage multiple projects, ensuring project objectives are achieved.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their technical development and professional growth.
• Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and attend project and client meetings as required.
• Travel to project sites and client locations when necessary.

Requirements

✔ BEng/BSc Civil Engineering

✔ ECSA Professional Registration (Pr. Eng)

” Minimum 5 Years' Structural Engineering Experience

✔ Experience with concrete, steel, and multi-storey commercial structures

✔ Sound proficiency in Prokon and finite element analysis software

✔ Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD

✔ Strong project management, leadership, and client relationship skills

✔ Valid driver's licence and own vehicle

Remuneration

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and post-qualification experience between R60,000 to R80,000 CTC pm.
