SUMMARY

Our client is looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules, ensuring material availability, optimising inventory levels, and supporting on-time customer deliveries while maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Create, release, and monitor production orders within SAP.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor production progress and proactively address delays, shortages, and capacity constraints.
• Manage material planning, inventory levels, and MRP requirements.
• Identify bottlenecks and support capacity planning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate planning data and generate production and inventory reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, inventory optimization, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support quality, safety, and compliance requirements within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing planning environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proven experience in production planning, material planning, and inventory management.
