Regional Operations Manager

The leading Waste Management Firm in South Africa is seeking a progressive Regional Operations Manager to join their team in Durban. This professional will need to ensure that service levels meet clients’ expectations through efficient and cost-effective utilisation of assets and effective management of 3rd party contractors. Manage the workforce within a disciplined, motivated and safe environment. Ensure that all relevant legislation is adhered to. The successful incumbent will be required to adhere to all environmental and legislative requirements.

In order to be considered for this role you must have the following:

• Matric

• Minimum of 3 years senior management experience preferably in the transport industry

• Experience in financial forecasting and cost control

• Tertiary education or relevant degree preferably in transport

• Management qualification an advantage

• Proficient in MS Office

Key Job Responsibilities (But not limited to)

• Maximise the efficient utilization of the fleet

• Maintain and improve agreed cost of sales

• Manage staff, assets and suppliers according to Group Policy

• Ensure customers are serviced according to agreed expectations

• Ensure Depot facilities and assets are maintained to acceptable levels and legal requirements
