As part of a growing Research & Development team, they are seeking a passionate and driven Baker to support product development, baking trials, sensory analysis, and technical customer support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily baking activities, baking consistency reports, and sensory analysis to ensure product quality and performance standards are maintained.
• Perform baking trials and assist with product development initiatives within the Research & Development function.
• Provide technical support to sales teams and customers through bake-line support, product demonstrations, and troubleshooting assistance.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Baking Technology, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant accreditation with the South African Chamber of Baking.
• Minimum 5–6 years' baking experience.
• Experience within the bread and bread improver industry is essential.
• Strong understanding of baking processes, ingredients, and product functionality.
• Durban-based and willing to travel when required.
• Valid driver's licence advantageous.
