As the business continues to expand, they are seeking a Procurement Officer to support procurement activities across their operations, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier performance and seamless supply chain management.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships and procurement processes across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance, facilities, operations and management teams to ensure that all goods and services are sourced effectively, delivered on time and aligned with company standards and budgets.
This role requires someone who can balance commercial thinking with strong administrative discipline and relationship management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Purchasing
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities across the business
- Source products and services aligned to operational requirements
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations
- Process purchase requests and procurement documentation
- Ensure purchasing activities remain within approved budgets
- Support operational teams with procurement requirements
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance and service delivery
- Negotiate pricing, contracts and service agreements
- Ensure supplier compliance with company requirements
- Develop long-term supplier partnerships that create value
Cost Management & Negotiation
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies
- Negotiate favourable pricing and commercial terms
- Monitor procurement spend and purchasing trends
- Assist in managing procurement budgets
- Support cost control initiatives across the business
Market Research & Strategic Sourcing
- Conduct market research on products, services and suppliers
- Monitor industry trends and pricing movements
- Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing opportunities
- Recommend improvements to procurement strategies and processes
Contract Administration
- Assist with supplier contract management
- Monitor supplier agreements and renewal dates
- Ensure contractual obligations are met
- Maintain procurement records and documentation
- Support procurement compliance requirements
Inventory & Stock Support
- Monitor inventory levels where required
- Assist with stock planning and replenishment
- Support inventory optimisation initiatives
- Coordinate purchasing to avoid stock shortages or overstock situations
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate procurement records
- Prepare procurement reports and supplier performance updates
- Track savings achieved through procurement activities
- Support audit and compliance requirements
- Ensure all procurement documentation is properly maintained
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years procurement experience
- Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement processes
- Experience negotiating pricing and supplier agreements
- Hospitality, property, facilities or related industry experience advantageous
- Exposure to inventory and stock management beneficial

PACKAGE
R18,000 – R22,000 CTC per month (dependent on experience)
