Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and execution. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and defining the product vision. It includes working with technical, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and internalize/define the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Gather, manage, and prioritize market/customer requirements and the matching product unique selling points (USPs).
- Works closely with technical, sales, marketing and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for allocated brands and products.
- Is a market expert. Market expertise includes understanding the reasons customers purchase products. This includes a deep understanding of the competition, and how customers think of and buy your product. Product Managers need market research and competitive analysisskills to complete these tasks.
- Runs beta and pilot programs as well as regular reviews and checks with customers to ensure that the product meets the customer expectations.
- Act as the product / brand leader within the company.
- Work closely with the sales team and management to maintain an accurate pipeline for the assigned brands.
- Identify, source and develop new product and brand alliances.
- Developing business cases and Go-To-Market plans for new products, improvements to existing products, and business ventures.
- Plan and supervise new product implementations/rollouts.
- Define and prioritize customer segments/markets for the product.
- Ultimate responsibility for product pricing and pricing policies.
- Define marketing strategy and plan for the product.
- Provide and continuously update product sales forecasts.
- Ultimate responsibility for Supplier relationship.
- Oversee supplier contract and/or target negotiations.
- Oversee that supplier required reports and/or requests and questions are attended to professionally and timeously.
- Present quarterly business reviews (QBR) to management and/or suppliers.
- Ensure that supplier targets requirements are met.
- Manage vendor rebate programmes to ensure maximum benefit to the business.
- Ensure that vendor certification levels are maintained.
- Analyse stock levels and demand.
- Prepare purchase orders
- Proactively manage ageing stock to ensure rotation within allowed timeframes.
- Prepare and present training material internally and externally.
