SUMMARY

Our client, a well-established automotive manufacturing company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven

Cost Accountant to join their finance team.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse cost reports, budgets, and forecasts
Monitor production costs and identify variances
Maintain accurate standard costing and BOMs
Assist with inventory management and stock valuations
Perform reconciliations and support month-end processes
Provide insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability
Work closely with operations and production teams

Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Cost Management
2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive experience advantageous)
Strong understanding of costing principles and financial analysis
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
