SUMMARY

An experienced Civil Engineer is required for upcoming infrastructure and solar PV projects based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise along with proven hands-on site experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of civil works, including roads, stormwater systems, and solar PV installations. You will also oversee project delivery to ensure it meets timelines, budget requirements, and quality standards in line with project specifications.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the design and construction of civil works for infrastructure and PV projects.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Supervise on-site work, including stormwater systems, roads, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

• Qualification: BTech or BEng in Civil Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in infrastructure and civil construction.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Solar PV projects.

• Professional Registration:
• Registration as a Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech with ECSA will be advantageous.

• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of applicable specifications, standards, and construction methods (e.g., GCC, FIDIC).

• Additional Requirements:
• Ability to work independently and manage on-site teams.
• Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites if needed.
