Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Are you a strategic technology leader with a passion for governance, portfolio management, and driving measurable business value through digital transformation? We are seeking an experienced

Head of Digital Value Office to establish and lead a high-impact governance function responsible for ensuring that all digital investments deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and establish an enterprise-wide Digital Value Office responsible for Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Portfolio Management.
• Drive project, programme, and portfolio governance across multiple digital and technology functions.
• Oversee business case validation, CAPEX/OPEX management, benefits realisation, and financial governance.
• Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, information security standards, and audit obligations.
• Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, risks, investments, and value delivery.
• Lead vendor governance, contract management, SLA compliance, and commercial oversight.
• Drive stakeholder alignment across executive leadership, business units, and technology teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Honours or Master's Degree in Business Administration will be advantageous.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile PM, or equivalent Project Management Certification.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in IT Governance, Portfolio Management, PMO leadership, and enterprise programme delivery.
• Proven experience within highly regulated environments.
• Strong experience in governance frameworks, vendor management, financial oversight, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

You are a strategic and commercially astute leader with exceptional governance discipline, financial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of establishing PMO or Digital Value Office functions from the ground up. You possess the ability to translate business strategy into measurable technology outcomes while ensuring accountability, transparency, and value realisation.
