The Role

In this role, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality immigration services to clients across Africa. You will manage a varied portfolio of cases, providing expert guidance and ensuring applications are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with relevant immigration requirements. Working closely with clients, vendors and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, you will be required to build trusted relationships, solve complex immigration challenges, and contribute to exceptional client service. In addition, you will play a key role in supporting operational delivery within the team, taking ownership of complex or high-pressure matters, and stepping in to guide and coordinate activity where required. This role requires a proactive, solutions-driven individual who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and support leadership in maintaining service quality and team performance. This extends to supporting the development of junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices, and driving continuous improvement within the team. What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Manage a portfolio of immigration matters across multiple African jurisdictions, ensuring cases are progressed accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing clear guidance and practical immigration solutions
  • Prepare, review and oversee immigration applications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with local requirements
  • Monitor case progress and maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the immigration process
  • Take ownership of complex, high-risk or time-sensitive cases, ensuring issues are resolved proactively
  • Drive accountability on cases, ensuring deadlines and commitments to clients are consistently met
  • Identify and resolve case-related issues, escalating complex matters where appropriate
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and high-quality service delivery
  • Support coordination of team workload, identifying pressure points and assisting in balancing priorities
  • Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and providing guidance on casework and best practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues across regional and global teams to deliver seamless client support
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency and the overall client experience
  • Stay up to date with immigration developments and regulatory changes across the region
  • Support business development initiatives by contributing expertise, insights and client-focused solutions

The Team

The Africa Immigration Team is responsible for coordinating and delivering immigration services across multiple countries throughout the African region. The team works closely with clients, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to manage a wide range of immigration matters, ensuring compliance, consistency, and high-quality service delivery across jurisdictions. As a regional function, the team plays a key role in supporting both local and multinational clients with their immigration needs throughout Africa.

Essential Criteria

What we are looking for

  • More than 5 years’ experience in immigration is required, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Knowledge and experience of sub-Saharan African jurisdictions is required (ideally, with competencies in SADC and immigration processes)
  • Proven experience managing complex cases independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Strong client relationship management skills and professional confidence and presence when engaging with senior clients and internal stakeholders
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, complemented by a proactive and solution-focused approach to adversity
  • Strong commitment to accountability and dedication to achieving client delivery and team objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor or support junior team members and contribute positively to a collaborative team culture
  • Language proficiency in Swahili, French or Portuguese is advantageous
  • Experience in relocation services in sub-Saharan Africa is advantageous
