Position: Finance Clerk

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Finance Clerk role based in Midrand, Johannesburg. The Finance Clerk will handle daily bookkeeping tasks, including capturing transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities include preparing and processing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding accounts. The role also involves supporting month-end and year-end close activities, assisting with basic financial reports, and ensuring that all documentation is filed and organized correctly. The Finance Clerk will work closely with the finance team, communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners, and follow company policies and financial procedures to support smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

Strong finance and bookkeeping skills, with experience in basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.

Proficiency in invoicing and related accounts receivable or accounts payable processes.

Well-developed analytical skills to reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and interpret financial data.

Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, vendors, and customers in a professional manner.

Comfort with accounting software ZOHO and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email).

Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills in handling documentation and multiple tasks.

Ability to work on-site in Johannesburg, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.

Relevant certificate or diploma in Accounting, or a related field is advantageous; prior experience in a finance or administrative role is preferred.
