Job Advert Summary
To manage the day-to-day functions of the Warehouse including the delivery of supply chain services against minimal costs and in line with standards.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/ Matric or equivalent
Qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain would be advantageous
Valid forklift license would be advantageous
SAP or Evolve knowledge or experience would be advantageous
1 – 3 Years warehouse and store man experience in the mining, construction or auto motive industries
Working knowledge and understanding of Inventory and WMS concepts.
Valid drivers licence 12/ Matric or Equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to Babcock Safety Principles and Practises
Ensure stock accuracy when receiving, picking/packing and dispatching of goods.
Ensure that all customers receive correct parts and quantities on time.
Report any discrepancies with regards to inventory, and other anomalies.
Ensure all warehouse activities are performed to the “Same day Principle”
Inbound - Receiving of goods from suppliers including Inter Branch Parts Transfers orders, (UB), stock returns and accurate binning of parts and Good Received Vouchers (GRV).
Outbound - Picking/Packing of goods and invoicing in accordance with pick notes for local and exports customers and dispatch of goods.
Constant communication regarding parts availability and back orders.
General - Bin maintenance, cycle, annual stock counts
Apply good housekeeping,
Accuracy of work in accordance with best warehouse practices.
