A leading global health research organisation is seeking to appoint an Epidemiologist to join its growing Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR) Programme.
This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified epidemiologist who is passionate about building a research career in outbreak response, infectious disease surveillance, and pandemic preparedness. The successful candidate will work within an active research programme focused on outbreak tracking, public health response strategies, and epidemiological research, while gaining exposure to international policy engagement and collaboration.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in Epidemiology
- Demonstrable interest in infectious disease outbreaks and outbreak analytics
- Proficiency or working knowledge of statistical software such as R, STATA, or similar
- At least one scientific publication arising from an epidemiological study
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse infectious disease epidemiological and surveillance data
- Prepare situational reports and rapid analytical briefs relating to infectious disease outbreaks
- Contribute to epidemiological research activities within the PPPR programme
- Support the preparation of scientific manuscripts, reports, and funding applications
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at strengthening pandemic preparedness and response
