About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and detail-oriented
Creditors Clerk to join a growing organisation within the travel industry. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate management of the accounts payable function.
This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, has strong reconciliation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable (creditors) function.
- Verify supplier invoices and credit notes for accuracy and compliance.
- Match supplier invoices to vouchers, orders, and purchase orders.
- Submit accurate documentation for processing and capturing.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding queries and reconciling items.
- Reconcile creditor ledgers and aged analysis reports.
- Assist with month-end finance processes and payment preparation.
- Submit payment packs for approval and processing.
- Issue remittance advices to suppliers following payment runs.
- Clear and contra paid items within the ledger.
- Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Create and maintain supplier accounts, including banking verification procedures.
- Reconcile credit card transactions against creditor accounts.
- Assist with ad hoc finance and administration duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Creditors Clerk or Accounts Payable role.
- Sound understanding of bookkeeping and creditors processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills.
- Experience with reconciliations, aged analysis, and creditor ledger management.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
