Job Overview
An established higher education and training institution is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable CHE Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students enrolled in various higher education programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating student success through tutoring, academic mentoring, assessment support, and learner engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Support
- Provide tutoring and academic assistance to students across assigned modules.
- Facilitate individual and group learning sessions.
- Assist students in understanding course content, assignments, and assessment requirements.
- Support students in developing effective study skills and academic strategies.
Learner Engagement
- Monitor student progress and identify learners requiring additional support.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in academic activities.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve learner performance.
- Maintain regular communication with students and academic staff.
Assessment Support
- Assist with the preparation and administration of assessments.
- Provide guidance on assignments, projects, and examination preparation.
- Support moderation and quality assurance processes where required.
- Ensure compliance with academic policies and procedures.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance registers.
- Prepare reports on student performance and intervention activities.
- Assist with academic administration and learner support documentation.
- Participate in institutional meetings and academic planning sessions.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all tutoring activities align with higher education quality standards.
- Support compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the academic department.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Education, Commerce, Business Management, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous.
- Previous tutoring, lecturing, facilitation, or academic support experience preferred.
- Understanding of higher education academic practices and assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online learning platforms.
