Pharmacy Retail Sales Representative – Cape Town

What will you be doing?
This role forms part of the Advanced Wound Care division and is responsible for driving revenue growth and brand loyalty across primary care channels, including General Practitioners, independent and corporate pharmacies, and pharmacy-led clinics.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial focus with clinical credibility to expand market presence and support optimal patient outcomes.
What will you need to be successful?
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across GP and pharmacy channels
- Conduct structured sales calls to meet and exceed monthly targets
- Drive product adoption and increase market share within the territory
- Deliver in-service training and product education to pharmacists and clinic staff
- Ensure correct product application and understanding of the portfolio
- Support healthcare professionals with clinical guidance where required
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Monitor stock levels and ensure product visibility in pharmacies
- Partner with key accounts to drive sustainable growth
- Manage sales data and analyse performance trends
- Submit call reports, expense reports, and monthly activity updates
- Participate in sales meetings and cycle reviews
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments
- Attend relevant congresses, workshops, and events.
Successful candidates would need the following
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Nursing
- An additional qualification in Business or Marketing would be advantageous
- Clinical background in Nursing or Pharmacy is advantageous
- 2–3 years’ experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Experience calling on pharmacies or GP practices is essential
