About The Opportunity
An established organisation in the higher education and training sector is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Corporate Sales Consultant to join its growing team.
This role is responsible for promoting accredited higher education qualifications to corporate clients, government departments, and industry stakeholders. The successful candidate will focus on developing strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, increasing student enrolments through corporate channels, and contributing to overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the corporate and public sectors.
- Promote higher education qualifications and training solutions to prospective clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve enrolment and revenue targets.
- Conduct presentations, sales pitches, and client meetings.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and service level agreements where required.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Drive growth in student enrolments through corporate partnerships.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and industry partners.
- Serve as the primary contact for corporate accounts and training partnerships.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions, conferences, and career expos.
Market Research & Industry Engagement
- Monitor trends within the higher education and training sector.
- Gather competitor information and provide market intelligence.
- Promote the organisation's brand and reputation within the corporate sector.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and industry developments.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate client records and sales activity reports.
- Update CRM and client databases regularly.
- Track enrolments, registrations, and client feedback.
- Prepare regular sales reports and pipeline updates.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in sales and business development.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience within higher education, training, skills development, or a corporate learning environment will be highly advantageous.
- Public sector sales experience will be beneficial.
- Understanding of the South African higher education landscape and qualification frameworks will be advantageous.
