Purpose of the position
Ensures the maintenance and support of the CCMDD electronic system (SyNCH) across all allocated healthcare facilities and pick-up points in a Sub-district, enabling monthly and quarterly electronic patient prescription targets to be reached.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience in information systems in implementation activities, with emphasis on analysis, troubleshooting, and process flows.
- Matric
- An appropriate certificate or degree in Information Systems/Technology.
- Knowledge of the public health sector policies and procedures will be advantageous.
- Willingness to multitask, interface with mulitple stakeholders and mantain relationships
- knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Valid driver’s license
- Clear criminal record
- Previous exposure in NGO environment will be an added advantage
- Be able to communicate in English and isiXhosa will be an advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying gaps in healthcare facility staff ICT skills and knowledge
- Providing ongoing support and training at health facilities and PuPs to ensure optimal and consistent utilisation of the software system.
- Monitoring of the facilities’ use of the CCMDD software system and attending to any challenges and gaps by liaising closely with the provincial Helpdesk for support
- Ensure the optimum functioning of all equipment and software involved in the CCMDD software system;(laptop, tablets, scanners, internet browsers & connectivity)
- Monitoring the use and security of equipment at healthcare facilities and managing the equipment asset register
- Providing weekly, monthly, quarterly and or annual progress reports to the relevant stakeholders regarding daily activities and progress against targets
- Attending and participating in all required meetings with the manager and district CCMDD M&E team
- Reporting discrepancies in data at a patient level to the district CCMDD M&E team
- Submitting a weekly planning schedule and weekly timesheets
- Submitting health facility and/or PuP visit attendance registers. Registers reflect the signature of the operational manager or designated official and/or PuP personnel to acknowledge visit, time spent at the health facility and work conducted for the day
- Working closely with District Technical Advisor to ensure the SyNCH is implemented and used appropriately in accordance with healthcare facility needs
