SUMMARY

Our client in George is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized

Quality Controller to join a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is critical in ensuring that all incoming products and outgoing retail orders meet the company's quality standards before reaching customers and retail partners.

The ideal candidate is a logical thinker with a keen eye for detail, strong quality control skills, and the ability to identify discrepancies before products are dispatched.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on imported products upon arrival.
• Check products for defects, damages, incorrect labeling, and packaging inconsistencies.
• Verify product specifications against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
• Perform thorough checks on all retail orders before dispatch.
• Ensure correct quantities, product codes, and packaging standards are met.
• Investigate and report quality issues or non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and inspection reports.
• Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to resolve quality-related concerns.
• Assist with stock audits and inventory quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Warehouse Inspection, or similar role would be advantageous.
• Experience working with imported consumer products, retail products, or distribution environments will be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Logical and analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and related systems).
• Immediately available preferred
