SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant with bookkeeping experience to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support while assisting with basic accounting and financial administration functions. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, professional, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties

  • Answer and direct incoming calls and emails.
  • Manage diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain filing systems, records, and documentation.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Assist with general office administration and coordination.
  • Maintain office supplies and liaise with service providers.

Bookkeeping Duties

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Perform debtor and creditor administration.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
  • Capture financial transactions accurately on accounting systems.
  • Assist with payroll administration when required.
  • Prepare financial reports and support month-end processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Relevant qualification in Administration, Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in an administrative and bookkeeping role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working on accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Afrikaans will be advantageous).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
