Job Purpose

The Sales Coordinator Intern supports the sales team with administrative, customer service, and coordination tasks. The role provides practical experience in sales operations, customer relationship management, reporting, and business development activities.

The intern is expected to learn and gain experience from colleagues and participate in development opportunities; this includes job shadowing and constantly assisting when required.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team with daily administrative duties.
  • Takes responsibility for the performance of the Sales functions of the hotel
  • Devise and maintain office systems, including data management, filing, etc.
  • Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and sales presentations.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports.

Quality Specific Responsibilities

  • Comply with and apply all relevant quality standards, policies, processes, rules and procedures
  • Assist to create and develop pricing strategies that reflect the individuality of each hotel
  • Regularly check the input and the quality of market data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc.) points
  • Notice and communicate to management opportunities to further improve quality standards

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in sales or marketing
  • Proficient user of Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of Up-Sell and Cross-Sell strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others in English and other official languages
  • Dedicated to achieving high standards by working with others
  • Demonstrates exceptional levels of integrity
  • Ability to work effectively and safely when under pressure and when placed with demands
